01Who to contact
This policy describes information handling on vagusscience.info, the website of Neural Insight Lab. The contact responsible for website and privacy enquiries is Nolan Mercer, at [email protected].
This policy applies to this website. A separate written agreement and appropriate data terms must be established before any commissioned project requires additional information processing.
02Information entered into forms
The enquiry, subscription and account interfaces process entered values locally in your browser. The website does not transmit those form fields to a server, store them in a database, create accounts or send email. Passwords entered into account interfaces are not authenticated or saved by this application.
The enquiry tool formats an outline that you can review and copy. Nothing is sent when an outline is prepared. Clicking “Copy enquiry” places the outline on your device clipboard at your request. You decide whether to paste it into an email or another application.
The subscription interface does not activate an email subscription. Account interfaces do not establish an account or reset access credentials. Status messages describe the outcome of each action.
03Technical information and browser storage
Visiting any website sends technical request information to its host. The hosting environment may process your IP address, request time, requested URL, browser information and error details for delivery, security and troubleshooting. This is separate from the form fields, which this application does not submit.
This website does not set application cookies, create sessions, use advertising pixels, embed third-party analytics, or write form entries to local or session storage. Fonts and interface elements are served with the page; no external font service is used.
Your browser, extensions or password manager may independently retain autofill or browsing information under their own settings. Your device controls clipboard retention. Do not place personal information into page URLs.
04When you contact us directly
If you choose to send an email to Nolan Mercer, your email service delivers the information you include. This may include your name, email address, organization, message and attachments. It is used to answer the enquiry, discuss the requested work and maintain the relevant correspondence.
Providing an email address for an enquiry does not give permission for unrelated marketing. Please do not send patient records, health information, passwords, identity documents or confidential research data through an initial enquiry.
05Email preferences and permissions
Project correspondence should relate to an enquiry or agreed work. Optional research notes require separate, specific permission and must not be enabled through acceptance of website terms alone.
Any activated research-note subscription must identify Neural Insight Lab as the sender, explain its subject and frequency, and provide an easy way to unsubscribe. The intended frequency is no more than monthly. No subscription is activated by the local form on this website.
You can contact [email protected] to ask about permissions or request that optional correspondence stops. Contact lists must not be bought, rented, scraped or shared for third-party advertising.
06Service providers and disclosures
The website host processes the technical requests needed to serve pages. If you email us directly, email providers process that correspondence. No email delivery service receives subscription or account form entries from this application.
Information may need to be disclosed when required by applicable law or to address a genuine security incident. It is not sold or provided to third parties for their independent marketing. Provider locations and transfer requirements depend on the actual hosting and email arrangements; contact Nolan for details relevant to your enquiry.
07Retention and security
Form entries are not written to persistent storage by the application. An enquiry outline remains in the page until it is cleared or the document is discarded. A copied outline is subject to your device’s clipboard settings.
Direct correspondence should be kept only as long as reasonably necessary to handle the enquiry, perform agreed work, or meet applicable recordkeeping and dispute requirements. Technical-log retention is controlled by the hosting environment. Contact Nolan for the retention information relevant to a particular record or to request deletion.
Do not enter confidential information into the website. Online communications carry security risks, and no website or email channel can promise absolute security.
08Your choices and requests
You may contact Nolan to ask whether information about you is held, request access or correction, request deletion, or withdraw permission for optional emails. Applicable rights, exceptions and verification requirements depend on your jurisdiction.
Explain the request and provide only the minimum information needed to locate the relevant correspondence. Do not send identity documents unless a proportionate verification process has been agreed. Where applicable, you may also raise a concern with the relevant data protection authority.
09Changes to this policy
Changes to information handling must be reflected in this policy before the changed processing begins. A material change in email purposes requires the appropriate new permission; existing enquiries must not be silently converted into marketing contacts.
The effective date appears at the top of this page. Questions about this policy can be sent to [email protected].
